dc.description.abstractStatement delivered by Josue Dione Director Food Security and Sustainable Development Division United Nations Economic Commission for Africa at the Sixth Session of Committee on Food Security and Sustainable Development (CFSSD-6) and the Africa Regional Implementation Meeting for the Eighteenth Session of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD-18). The objectives of the meeting are: to review the implementation of the 2008-2009 work programme of ECA on Food Security and Sustainable Development, to give guidance on further work during the 2010-2011 biennium, and to provide a platform for the Africa Regional Implementation Meeting (RIM) for the Eighteenth Session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD-18). The theme of the Sixth Session of your Committee is quite pertinent in this regard.en
