The Sub-regional meeting of the African Regional Coordinating Committee for the Integration of Women in Development (ARCC) was held in Lusaka, Zambia from 24 – 26 July, 1996. The meeting was organized by the African Centre for Women (ECA/ACW) and Multinational Programming and Operational Centre (UNECA/MULPOC) for the Eastern and Southern Africa. It was officially opened by Honourable Deputy Minister of Local Government and Housing, Lusaka, Zambia, Wendy S. Mmembe. Mr. S.A. Ochola, Officerin- Charge, Lusaka MULPOC, also delivered a statement at the opening ceremony. The representative of Ethiopian moved a vote of thanks on behalf of the participants.
