Abstract

This remarks delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, chief executive Officer, NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency at the Eleventh Session of the Regional Coordination Mechanism ( RCM· Africa) of UN Agencies and Organizations Working In Africa in Support of the African Un ion an d Its NEPAD Programme. Dr. Mayaki, on his remarks highlighted that, The NEPAD change management has resulted in the adoption of African Union rules and regulations for the Agency 's Human Resources, Administration and Finance Systems. NEPAD is fully integrated into the African Union family. The long-delayed integration process emitted uncertainty is over. We are now focused on delivering the NEPAD vision and mission. This 11th RCM session provides an avenue to concretize UN system wide support for the African Union and the NEPAD programme. Africa’s development landscape is changing positively. We must take ownership of the NEPAD agenda to realize development effectiveness.
