Abstract

Statement by ambassador Sha Zukang, Undersecretary General for Economic and Social Affairs, and Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development at the eleventh session of the regional coordination mechanism (RCM-Africa). Ambassador Zukang, on his remarks highlighted that, sustainable development requires multi-stakeholder participation at all levels local, national, regional and global. Governments alone cannot meet the multiple challenges they face, they need ownership and support from businesses.
