Abstract
All data received from either censuses or survey must go through the process of data entry and edition in order to be processed by computers. The final product of data processing the published final table and their explanation, can only be as good as the data used. On the way from the original responses to the file containing “clean “data, many errors are possible. These errors might decrease or even spoil the value of the final publication leading in its worse case to wrong political or economical decisions.
