This case study deals with a Freirean type community education and action programme which is called Laedza Batanani dramas. (community awakening) started as a deliberate attempt to deal with the problems of apathy and community disintegration in one [art of Botswana.it used popular participatory problem-drama as a device for mobilizing interest and participation and as a code for critical reflection and action by the community.it attempted, in the process to assist field worker to adjust their role from that of prescribing technical information and skills to that of animating community members to analyze the problems themselves look for solutions and choose the skills and information they required.
