The main objective of the paper is to provide information on women's role in the development of the Kingdom of Swaziland, analyses their problems and priority needs in various aspects of socioeconomic development of the country and make recommendations for enhancing women's contributions in the development process of Swaziland. This exercise was commissioned by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Lusaka MULPOC Women's Programme as an input in the National Technical Co-operation Assessments and Programmes (NATCAP) for Swaziland. It (exercise) was undertaken in line with its terms of reference, which included, among others.
