Managing issues in the nexus of population, food security and the environment in West Africa: towards a policy framework = Gestion de la corrélation entre population, sécurité alimentaire et environnement en Afrique de l'ouest : vers un cadre d'orientation générale

Abstract

The study is organized in five chapters. After the introduction, the chapter following reviews the nexus issues of population, environment and agriculture in West Africa. The implications of nexus issues for the poor, especially women, are discussed. This leads to an assessment of selected country experiences in Chapter The next chapter reviews regional and sub-regional programmes and projects on nexus issues. Chapter 4 discusses major challenges and Chapter 5 provides a conceptual framework for addressing nexus issues in West Africa.
