This model assumes that industrialization will be the main driver of growth. Consequently , development is measured essentially by levels of production and consumption, using indicators such as gross domestic product (GDP) and per capita income, and ignoring other relevant information such as social equity, redistribution of wealth, environmental sustainability and other indicators of the improvement of a people’s living conditions and welfare.
