In the fifth issue of series B, the following two new tables have been included and the summaries appearing at the beginning of the tables for each reporting country have been discontinued. Series B Trade by commodity is a companion of series A Direction of Trade and provides cumulative half yearly data on African commodity trade according to the Standard International Trade Classification, (SITC) revised by regions and countries of provinces and destination in thousand U.S. dollars. The designations employed and the presentation of the material do not imply the expression of any opinion whatever on the part of the ECA secretariat concerning the legal status of any country or territory or of its authorities or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers.
