Résumé
This general review is intended to cover the activities in trade and customs since the inception of the ECA. It is thus considered, in part, with the activities of the commission and its subsidiary bodies in this field, in the framework of the resolutions and recommendations adopted and action taken thereupon. At the same time, an attempt has been made to present a picture of the developments in certain areas of Africa’s trade policy, where possible over a period of some years, in other cases in the past year only. All these activities have been divided in this review in to parts dealing separately with trade and customs; and under trade, into matters relating predominantly to Africa’s external trade, intra-African trade, and other activities.
