This draft resolution 145 (VII) adopted by the commission at its 126th meeting on 22 February 1965. Recognizing that the co-ordination of individual national development programmes in the best means of accelerating economic development in Africa with a view to raising the standard of living of the people. The sub-regional approach is only a step towards economic integration in Africa. any co-ordination of economic development should take into account the over all requirements of the continent and promote African Unity.
