Women and development in Tanzania: an annotated bibliography

Abstract

The purpose of this brief introduction is to share with readers some of the experiences we have had in the process of producing this annotated bibliography, as well as to outline the approach followed in the annotations themselves. As a result of our involvement in the bibliography, we have learned a great deal and have had to change much of our earlier understanding about the nature of the women's question in Tanzania and the nature of bibliography work itself.
