Résumé
This statement delivered by Mr. K.A. Gardiner, Executive Secretary, Economic Commission for Africa. Mr. K. A. on his remarks highlighted that, Africanization policies, hesitancy of investors, departure of foreign experts and administrative officials contributed to the slow or negative rates of growth. Accession to independence, for all African countries is an arduous task, but the adjustment to independence is even more difficult. ECA sees the economy of a country as a whole, is able to establish relationships in economic activities of groups of countries and finally design a pattern of economic development for the whole region.
