Report on mission to participate in: (i) the 20th meeting of the advisory council of the institute of statistics and applied economics, Makerere University (ii) the 54th meeting of the advisory board of the eastern Africa statistical training center

Abstract

The report covers the participation of the Regional Adviser in the 20th Meeting of the Advisory Council of the Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (ISAE) and the 54th Meeting of the Advisory Board of the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC) held in Kampala, Uganda, on April 25-26, 1996. Key discussions included the ISAE work program, the regional agreement, the proposed second donors' conference, and research needs in data collection and analysis. The Regional Adviser contributed to various agenda items, emphasizing the importance of improving statistical training and collaboration among countries. Recommendations for follow-up actions were also provided.
