Abstract
The Secretariats of ECA and OAU jointly have prepared short working papers on the various substantive topics appearing on the provisional agenda of the sixth session of UNCTAD, except for parts One which were prepared by ECA. Each of these papers attempts to give a brief summary of the relevant resolutions and decisions of the fifth session of UNCTAD and to review progress or lack of progress made to date in their implementation. They also try to identify and analyses problems that are of major concern to the African region in the respective fields and make some proposals on the stands which could accordingly be taken on the related agenda items by the African Group, at the Group of 77 meetings and ultimately at the Sixth Session of UNCTAD.
