Report on the specialized course on manpower and educational planning in relation to Economic development

Abstract

This report has been prepared in conformity with article III of the agreement between the government of the U.A.R. and the United Nations Organization (acting through the Economic Commission for Africa) which stipulated that the end of the course the director will report to the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa and to the director of the Dakar Institute. As indicated by its title the course dealt with manpower and educational planning as two interrelated subjects and as two activities which should be integrated with overall development planning. It was designed to serve the purpose of acquainting manpower planners, educational planners, and general planners with each others problems and techniques while providing specialized training to each of the three categories of participants.
