Establishment of the Cairo-Gaborone Trans-East African Highway Authority, the coordinating committee of the Cairo-Gaborone Trans-East African Highway, meeting in Khartoum, the Sudan from 13-16 March 1978, adopted a resolution calling for the establishment of the Cairo-Gaborone Trans-East African Highway Authority. The Economic Commission for Africa, in an effort to accelerate the establishment of the Trans-East African Highway Authority and ensure its proper functioning, has prepared document for review and approval of member States. The Trans-East African Highway Coordinating Committee at its second meeting considering the imperative need to continue efforts to achieve the implementation of the Trans-East African Highway project and the feeder links for the integration of neighboring State.
