The first was a motion of thanks to the Government of Kenya for the steps taken to insure the smooth working of that conference and for the hospitality given to those taking part in the work of the conference. The second concerned technical assistance, and requested the United Nations (a) to give priority to applications for assistance intended to establish develop or modernize national cartographic services; (b) to help in carrying through rejects in connexion with cartography, including the setting up of a regional for professional training and mapping; (c) to instruct the Regional Adviser on cartography to supervise the application of the resolutions and recommendations of the upon froing; and (d) to grant technical assistance to countries in the region, so that they might be represented at all meetings concerning cartography.
