This is an information paper which seeks to provide an overview of African perspectives of the Third Lome Convention with particular reference to the fields of trade and finance. The paper does not cover many other areas which are part and parcel of the Lome Convention such aspects of transport and communications, cultural and social co-operation or even such areas as the question of human rights.
