Report on a national training workshop for the government and district councils officials of Zambia: on improvement in government accounting and auditing Lusaka- Zambia, 5-16 May 1986

Abstract

The National Training Workshop was hosted by the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), in collaboration with ·the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. It was organized in response to a request by NIPA to ECA after consultations with. the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The curriculum and the topics covered focused attention on financial management needs for officials, particularly the skills and areas of knowledge relating to accounting procedures and techniques in the smaller District Councils and auditing in the public sector as fields of immediate concern in the Republic of Zambia.
