Summary on trade and economic relations between developing Africa and the socialist countries of Eastern Europe

Abstract

This brief paper is intended to provide an outline of the trade structures for promoting trade and economic relations between Africa and Socialist countries of Eastern Europe. Africa lives in a world where it must come to terms with the realities of international economic and social interdependence. This is the background against which Africa’s attempts to promote and expand trade and economic relations with non-traditional partners must be reviewed. International trade and economic cooperation in the global context is considered by most partners only as a necessary supplement.
