The North African Sub regional Follow-up Meeting on the Implementation of the Dakar and Beijing Platforms for Action was held in Rabat, Morocco from 27 to 30 October 1998. It was organized by the African Centre for Women (ACW) of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the State Secretariat in charge of Social Protection, Family and Children in the Ministry of Social Protection, Solidarity, Employment and Training of Morocco. The meeting was attended by representatives from governments, parliaments and non governmental organizations of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia.
