The report presents a summary of the status of implementation of issues arising from recommendations made during the 6th ICE Meeting held in Windhoek, Namibia in April 2000, the major activities during the period 14 April 2000 -2 April 2001, activities for the remainder of 2001 and administrative issues.The meeting is requested to: (a) Take note of the level of implementation of the work programme of SRDC-SA as approved by the UN General Assembly and give guidance, where applicable, on implementation of future activities, with special reference to operational activities at national level. (b) Appeal to Member States to support the collaborative effort made by the Centre in the design and implementation of programmes for COMESA and SADC. (c) Assist the Centre in mobilization of resources for non-funded activities.
