African Inter-Parliamentary Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation (AIPF-STI)
Abstract
Considering the Constitutive Act establishing the African Union that identified the promotion of research and development (R&D) in all fields of science and technology (S&T) as one of the means to promote development in Africa. Considering the African Union’s 2005 Science and Technology (S&T) Consolidated Plan of Action (CPA) that aims to enable Africa to harness and apply science, technology and related innovations to achieve sustainable development, and to ensure that Africa contributes to the global pool of scientific knowledge and technological innovation.
