Chaque économie dépend d'un environnement naturel et des biens et services qu'il fournit a été clairement expliqué, mettant ainsi l'accent sur la nécessité pour l'Afrique de veiller à ce que ses ressources naturelles renouvelables, telles que les stocks de poissons, soient gérées de manière durable pour en faire bénéficier la postérité. En répondant à ces questions, le forum fera avancer le travail entrepris auparavant dans ce domaine et fournira le cadre intellectuel qui permettra à l'Afrique d’entreprendre l’exploitation de ses immenses ressources halieutiques et aquacoles aux fins de la croissance économique.
