Abstract
This report addresses the persistent failure in achieving socio-economic transformation and sustainable development in African economies. It highlights the importance of developing and utilizing critical skills for formulating and implementing economic development strategies. The report emphasizes the need for long-term development planning, integration of human resources planning with national development, and the creation of an enabling environment for critical skills development and utilization.
