Abstract

This summary paper focusing on the small-scale mining aspects and recommendations for overcoming the constraints which are tending to limit both small and large-scale gemstone mining on the African continent is presented for consideration at the Technical workshop preceding the Fourth Regional Conference to be held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from 18th to 27th March 1991.
