Report of the meeting of plenipotentiaries on the establishment of the African institue for higher technical and research

Abstract

The meeting of plenipotentiaries on the establishment of the African Institute for Higher Technical Training and Research was convened in Addis Ababa(Ethiopia). Deputy executive secretary of ECA remarked that the meeting was a momentous occasion as it would witness the formal creation of an institution whose mission would be to tackle Africa's technological backwardness and find solutions to the region's socioeconomic development problems.
