Abstract
The ECA statistical data base is deigned in three levels in targeted into one system of information level I is a country profile data which gives a snapshot picture of the socio-economic condition of any one African country or sub regional level II contains the bulk of detailed statistical data at its lowest level of aggregation. The data being voluminous is kept on magnetic tapes for off-line and batch processing the level III data base is a time series data containing data aggregated and selected social demographic economic and environmental data which are frequently sought by users.
