Abstract

The 2002 African Statistical Yearbook, the twenty first issue, presents data arranged on a country basis for 53 ECA member States, generally for the years 1993 to 2001 or for the last nine years for which data are available. It is published in two volumes, with the following sub-regional arraignments.: Volume I: Part 1 - North Africa Part 2 - West Africa Volume IT: Part 3 - Central Africa Part 4 - East Africa Part 5 - Southern Africa. This publication, which consists the second part of volume I of this edition, covers the fifteen countries in Western Africa.
