The high level policy dialogue under the theme integrating urbanization in development planning was held in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The principal theme of the session focused on the sectoral perspectives of urbanization and development planning from the industrial, agricultural, infrastructure, trade/investment and social services sectors. the meeting was structured into five sessions urbanization and development planning in Africa; The state of urbanization in Africa; Strategic sectoral perspectives on urbanization and development planning; Integrating urbanization into development planning: countries’ perspectives; and constraints and obstacles in integrating urbanization into development planning: countries’ perspectives.
