This document presents the programme of work and priorities for the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) for the period 2002-2003. The programme details the activities that will be undertaken by ECA in support of the development efforts of countries in the region during
the period. The programme also outlines the main objectives that ECA intends to accomplish during the period, the strategy for accomplishing the tasks, and identifies the key development
challenges facing the region which it is designed to address.
