Abstract
Burkina Faso had acquired a new medium-term development plan entitled “National Plan for Economic and Social Development” for the period 2016-2020. The ultimate objective of the National Plan was “structural transformation of the Burkina Faso economy, for strong, resilient and inclusive growth that provides decent jobs for all”. The mission was exploratory in nature, that is, its purpose was to collect information relevant to the request and to the specific needs of the country, with a view to establishing a formal plan of technical assistance from ECA to Burkina Faso. The present aide-memoire provides a summary of the discussions held during meetings with each of the bodies concerned and notes the findings made and the needs identified.
