Proposed programme budget for the biennium 2018-2019: part V
Abstract
The overall purpose of the biennial program plan is to promote inclusive and sustainable economic and social development in support of accelerating the structural transformation of Africa. This is in line with the priorities and vision articulated in the Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want; the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) program of the African Union; and the internationally agreed development goals, including those contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (General Assembly resolution 70/1), Agenda of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (General Assembly resolution 69/313, annex) and the outcomes of other major United Nations conferences and international agreements concluded since 1992.
