Abstract
The present report provides an overview of the results achieved since April 2016 from activities undertaken by the United Nations system in support of the African Union and its New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) program. It considers support from three perspectives: Decisions of African Heads of State; decisions from the Joint Annual Meeting of the African Union Specialized Technical Committee on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration and the Economic Commission for Africa Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development; and United Nations support for the African Union and its NEPAD program. The report meets the need expressed by member States for regular and systematic reporting on United Nations activities in support of the sectoral priorities of NEPAD at the regional and sub regional levels.
