Report of the Executive Secretary on the activities of the Economic Commission for Africa : (covering the period April 2016 to March 2017)
Abstract
The present report highlights the main achievements of the secretariat of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) from April 2016 to March 2017. It provides an overview of the major events and activities undertaken by ECA in response to its broad mandate of fostering economic and social development in Africa. In addition to the issues presented in the report, a number of key strategic areas of involvement are highlighted, underlining the Commission’s most significant contributions.
