The African Group on National Accounts (AGNA) is taking the lead to tackle the challenges that African countries confront in the compilation of national accounts, through the implementation of the 2008 System of National Accounts (SNA). The implementation of the 2008 SNA provides an opportunity to improve the quality, timeliness, consistency, and harmonization of economic statistics and national accounts in Africa to support the continental development agenda of economic structural transformation, regional integration, and sustainable development.
