Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) are the cornerstone of the Paris Agreement, and aim to limit the increase in global average temperature, to below 2°C, and preferably below 1.5°C. Building on the Paris Agreement, Parties are now turning their intentions into concrete contributions. Under the ClimDev-Africa Program (a pan African program with the mandate to support African countries in responding to climate change and integrating climate change concerns into national development agendas), it is crucial for the African Climate Policy Center to continue to play the important role of supporting African countries with their nationally determined contributions just like it did for intended nationally determined contributions.
