Key messages of the Africa regional forum on sustainable development as Africa’s collective input to the 2015 meeting of the High-level political forum on sustainable development

Abstract

The main objective of the Forum was to enable African countries to deliberate and agree on Africa’s collective input to the 2015 meeting of the High-level Political Forum, in the form of key messages. The key messages agreed upon at the Africa Regional Forum were resolution 67/290 setting out the mandate, format and organizational aspects of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development and establishing the High-level Forum as the appropriate global, intergovernmental platform to provide political leadership and guidance for follow-up and review of sustainable development implementation and the integration of the three dimensions of sustainable development.
