The present report reviews the progress made between April 2014 and March 2015 in implementing the work programme of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), with a focus on the results that have been achieved in support of the development of our member States. The growing influence of ECA with policymakers is complemented by its rising profile in public discourse on economic policy matters. The body of research and statistics compiled by ECA is increasingly cited in the media and the Commission’s reputation in and relationships with African and international scholarly communities are also growing. ECA has demonstrated its commitment to quality research and policy engagement, along with an ability to obtain, analyze and manage new knowledge, data and statistics about Africa that are produced in Africa.
