Résumé
This report is expected to enhance awareness and appreciation among policymakers of the need for a balanced integration of the three dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental) in the development and implementation of policies, strategies and programmes. It examines the challenges and opportunities for inclusive green growth in selected sectors of the economy, in which targeted investments with accompanying enabling measures could spur inclusive green growth to contribute to transformative objectives and sustainable development. The report is targeted at African countries, regional and subregional organizations, the nine major groups recognized by the United Nation Conference on Environment and Development, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992, and development partners.
