Résumé
This fact sheet focuses on normative and legal frameworks banning female genital mutilation (FGM) in 21 select African countries where FGM is practiced. The fact sheet also highlights the principles enshrined in United Nations General Assembly resolution A/ RES/67/146, which calls for a worldwide ban on FGM.
