Abstract
This document is focuses on the Report Harmonization of Data Collection and Economic Forecasting Methods in West Africa. This report is divided into four main sections: the first gives an introduction of the West African statistics system as we know it today; the second takes stock of ongoing initiatives in the subregion in harmonization of statistics and forecasting methods; the third part provides a succinct account of harmonization initiatives in the West Africa subregion and the fourth deals with the tools for measuring convergence within West Africa and facilitating international comparisons. Lastly, early conclusions have helped in making a few proposals based on the study.
