Abstract

This paper is focuses on the changing socio-economic conditions of women in Africa in the context of the Nairobi forward looking strategies for the advancement of women: sectoral analysis of political participation, education, employment and law. Participation of women in peace is seen in their struggle against apartheid and civil war among countries. In this context, it is difficult to bring up concrete examples of actions undertaken in the area of peace. Hence, peace is not documented in the sectoral review and analysis of this report.
