Abstract
The key objective of the report is to identify key regional priority areas for a global development agenda from a regional perspective. It also underlines the need to adapt global goals to regional and national ones. It assesses the political and socioeconomic context in which the current MDG agenda was formulated and the challenges and opportunities it presented.
