Abstract
CODIST III will focus specifically on: 1. the alignments of the current innovation indicators to Africa’s main economic sectors and priorities and 2. the methodologies and frameworks to capture the innovation performance, progress and potential of countries. It will draw on existing and ongoing work by the OECD, NEPAD and UNECA to determine areas that may need to be addressed to promote technology diffusion and innovation. In addition, CODIST III will address how innovation is contributing to broad-based and rapid economic empowerment of communities on the continent.
