A "Sustainable Energy for All" special initiative by the UN Secretary General was launched to mobilize all stakeholders around the following three objectives by 2030: (1) to ensure global access to modern energy services, (2) to reduce by 40% the global energy intensity and (3) to increase by 30% the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
