Abstract
The purpose of these exercises was to highlight advances in the implementation of the Copenhagen commitments,and to provide the necessary information for decision makers and development actors to design interventions and strategies to speed up progress towards the targets.Specifically, the conferences focused on monitoring progress in poverty reduction, employment creation, achieving social sectors objectives, pertaining to education, health, and in establishing enabling socio-political environments.
