Abstract
This paper deals with the current and prospective role of nuclear power in world energy supplies. The statistics reported to the Agency show that nuclear energy already plays a significant role within the energy supply system of numerous countries. the present status naturally varies greatly from country to country, in a number of countries the nuclear share in electricity generation is very significant.
